Tour Plan
Your adventure starts in Marrakech, where we’ll pick you up early in the morning. As we drive through the Tizi n’Tichka Pass in the High Atlas Mountains, you'll enjoy stunning views of valleys, peaks, and Berber villages carved into the hillsides.
After a scenic ride, we stop at the world-famous Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This ancient ksar, made of clay and straw, is like stepping into a movie set. You’ll have time to walk through its narrow paths and climb to the top for panoramic views.
Next, we continue to Ouarzazate, also called “the Hollywood of Africa,” known for its film studios and dramatic kasbahs. After lunch, we head south through the Draa Valley, a lush green oasis filled with palm trees and old kasbahs. By sunset, we reach Zagora, where you’ll spend the night in a peaceful riad surrounded by desert charm.
After breakfast, we drive deeper into the Sahara. Our first stop is Tamegroute, a village famous for its green pottery and ancient library that holds centuries-old Islamic manuscripts. You’ll get to see how traditional pottery is still made by hand, using local clay and natural glazes.
Then we pass through Tagounite and reach Mhamid El Ghizlane, the last village before the open desert. Here, paved roads end, and the real Sahara adventure begins.
Switching to a 4x4, we drive off-road through rocky plateaus and sand tracks. Along the way, we’ll stop to visit local nomads and enjoy a cup of mint tea in their handmade tents. This personal encounter offers a genuine look at desert life.
As the dunes of Erg Chigaga rise before you, the golden beauty of the Sahara welcomes you. These are the tallest dunes in Morocco, and they stretch far beyond the horizon.
At our luxury desert camp, you’ll be greeted with Moroccan hospitality and shown to your private tent. After some rest, you’ll climb the tallest dune to catch the sunset over the Sahara Desert Morocco—a peaceful moment that feels like a dream.
After sunset, enjoy a warm dinner around the fire, with traditional Berber music played under the stars. Your first night in the desert will be one to remember.
Wake up to the silence of the desert and enjoy a fresh Moroccan breakfast. Today is all about exploring the Sahara Desert Morocco.
We begin with a desert cooking class, where you’ll learn how to prepare traditional tagine using simple, fresh ingredients. Then, you’ll ride camels across the dunes, just as the nomads have done for centuries, and enjoy a picnic lunch in the middle of the desert — just you, the wind, and the sand.
Later, we’ll search for a hidden desert oasis, a beautiful green surprise among the golden dunes. After exploring, we return to the camp for a bit of rest.
As the sun begins to set again, you’ll head out for another camel ride, this time to the top of the highest dune for breathtaking views. If you’re feeling adventurous, grab a sandboard and ride down the soft slopes for an extra thrill!
As night falls, another dinner under the stars awaits, complete with music, firelight, and stories. You’ll spend your second night in the luxury tent, wrapped in silence and desert warmth.
After breakfast, we say farewell to the Sahara. Driving across the vast Iriqui National Park, we pass the dry lakebed of Lake Iriqui, a hauntingly beautiful landscape where mirages often dance in the heat.
By midday, we reach Foum Zguid, where the desert ends and paved roads return. Then we travel north to Taznakht, the famous Berber carpet capital of Morocco. Here, you’ll see how women weave beautiful rugs using natural dyes and centuries-old techniques.
Finally, we return to Marrakech, arriving in the early evening with hearts full and souls refreshed. This Sahara Desert Morocco tour will leave you with memories that last a lifetime.
