Tour Plan
Your journey begins with a comfortable morning pickup from your riad or hotel in Fes. From the very first mile, the landscape starts to shift—rolling hills give way to the Middle Atlas Mountains, offering a perfect photo stop in Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco” thanks to its alpine look and crisp air.
Soon after, we drive through the lush cedar forests of Azrou, where you can meet the friendly Barbary macaques. Keep your camera ready—they love the attention!
Following a scenic stop for lunch in Midelt, we cruise through the dramatic Ziz Valley, famous for its thousands of tall palm trees. As we get closer to Merzouga, the golden dunes begin to rise on the horizon. This is where your desert dream begins.
Before sunset, you'll hop on a camel and ride through the rolling sands of Erg Chebbi, soaking in one of the most magical sunsets you’ll ever see. Your destination: a peaceful luxury desert camp, where dinner, Berber drums, and a night under the stars await.
✅ Included: Camel trek, desert camp stay, dinner, live music
After a peaceful night in the dunes, wake up early to catch a spectacular sunrise over the desert. After breakfast, we ride camels back to Merzouga and begin a unique 4x4 desert exploration.
We’ll start by visiting a nomadic Berber family, living in traditional woven tents. You’ll be welcomed with mint tea and hear about their daily lives in the desert.
Next, we stop at Khamlia, a small village with roots from Sub-Saharan Africa. Here, the local Gnaoua musicians will greet you with joyful music and dancing—a soulful highlight of the day.
Later, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before we continue to visit an ancient kohl mine, stroll through a nearby palm grove, and visit the seasonal lake of Merzouga, where flamingos often gather during the wet season.
✅ Included: Cultural visits, 4x4 transport, music session, local lunch
After breakfast, we begin the journey west. Our first stop is Rissani, once the ancient capital of Tafilalet and a lively town full of history. We’ll take a stroll through the traditional souk (market)—a perfect spot for trying fresh dates or handmade goods.
From there, we drive to Todra Gorge, where towering cliffs (up to 300 meters high!) create one of the most stunning natural canyons in Morocco. Take a walk by the river or relax in the cool shade—it’s a favorite among climbers and nature lovers alike.
In the late afternoon, we reach the magical Dades Valley, also known as the Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs. Wind your way through dramatic rock formations and enjoy a peaceful dinner and overnight stay in a charming local guesthouse or riad.
✅ Included: Gorge walk, scenic stops, dinner and overnight stay
On our final day, the road winds through the fragrant Rose Valley, especially lovely in spring when the flowers are in bloom. Locals here produce natural rose-based products, from soaps to essential oils.
Next, we reach Ouarzazate, often called the “Hollywood of Africa.” You can choose to visit the famous Atlas Film Studios, where movies like Gladiator and The Mummy were filmed.
From there, we continue to the iconic Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO-listed kasbah made entirely of clay and straw. Explore its narrow paths and ancient towers, then enjoy lunch with a view.
In the afternoon, we cross the mighty High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass. After one last panoramic photo stop, we descend into Marrakech, where the tour ends and your next Moroccan chapter begins.
✅ Included: Guided kasbah visit, mountain drive, drop-off in Marrakech
