Tour Plan

Your private journey begins with a morning departure from Marrakech, crossing the High Atlas Mountains through the winding Tizi n’Tichka Pass. As you drive, you’ll see picturesque villages and mountain views that will make you want to stop and breathe it all in.

Soon, we arrive at Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This ancient fortified village has appeared in countless films for a reason—it’s breathtaking.

After lunch, we pass through the film capital Ouarzazate and the rose-scented valley of Kelaat M’Gouna. The landscapes shift beautifully as we head deeper into Morocco’s south. By late afternoon, we reach the stunning Dades Gorges, where red cliffs rise and twist like a natural sculpture.

🛏️ Overnight in a charming Dades guesthouse.

After a peaceful breakfast, we travel south through the lush and historic Draa Valley. The road is lined with thousands of palm trees and dotted with ancient kasbahs. You’ll feel time slow down here.

By afternoon, we reach Zagora, once a key stop on the old caravan route to Timbuktu. This town has deep desert roots and a calm, authentic feel. Relax in your private riad and enjoy the silence of the Sahara creeping closer.

🛏️ Overnight in Zagora.

Today is the heart of the tour—and the last day of the year! First, we visit Tamgroute, where you’ll see one of Morocco’s oldest libraries and explore traditional green pottery workshops that have survived for generations.

Afterwards, we head to Mhamid El Ghizlane, the last village before the desert takes over. Here, we’ll visit the nature reserve, home to gazelles and ostriches, and meet local nomadic families along the way—an eye-opening and heartwarming experience.

By afternoon, we leave the road behind and ride 4x4s through the wild dunes of Erg Chigaga. Before sunset, mount a camel and ride through golden sands as 2025 says goodbye in a blaze of color.

The evening is pure magic—a traditional dinner around the fire, with Berber music, dance, and storytelling under the stars. What better way to welcome the New Year?

🛏️ Overnight in a luxury desert camp in Erg Chigaga.

Wake to the soft light of the desert and enjoy a peaceful breakfast at camp. Today, we drive across the vast Lake Iriki, a dry lakebed that feels otherworldly.

From here, we reach Foum Zguid, a remote desert town, and continue to Taznakht, famous for its handwoven Berber carpets. You’ll see weavers at work and maybe even pick out your own piece of Moroccan craftsmanship.

By evening, we arrive in Ouarzazate, where you can enjoy a hot shower, a warm meal, and a cozy bed.

🛏️ Overnight in a stylish riad in Ouarzazate.

As we drive back to Marrakech, your journey slowly comes full circle. The road offers one last look at the Atlas Mountains and desert valleys.

Although the tour ends today, the memories—like the sands of the Sahara—will stay with you forever. What a beautiful way to start the New Year.
